Gaming at River Cree
We operate two distinct casino floors on Enoch Cree Nation land, just west of Edmonton. The main floor is fully non-smoking and holds around 950 slot machines, plus our core table games and a separate poker room. The second floor, Embers, is smoke-friendly, adds about 405 more slots, and has its own mix of table games. Together, the property runs roughly 1,350 machines and close to 40 tables.
Both gaming areas run 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Guests move freely between them depending on their comfort with smoking and the type of play they prefer. The poker room is set a little away from the main pit, which on busy evenings actually helps - you can usually find a seat without wading through the heaviest foot traffic.

If it is your first time with us, signage at the main entrance is easy to follow. Embers also has its own exterior door, so guests who prefer to walk straight into the smoke-friendly area can skip the main lobby altogether.
Getting Around the Casino Floor
New guests usually get comfortable with the layout quite quickly, once they are inside and moving. In practice, a visit tends to look something like this:
- Arrive at 300 East Lapotac Blvd, Enoch, AB T7X 3Y3.
- Have valid government-issued ID ready - minimum age for casino entry is 18.
- Decide where to start: the main non-smoking floor or Embers.
- Walk the slot banks by denomination and game style to match your budget.
- Head to the main floor pit for table games like blackjack, roulette, and others.
- For poker, go straight to the dedicated poker room and speak with the floor team about a seat.
- Stop at the player rewards desk if you want to register for current promotions or loyalty offers.
Our floor teams are positioned throughout both casino areas at all times. Embers is integrated into the same resort complex as the main floor, so hotel check-in, restaurants and lounges are reachable from either side without much backtracking.
Hotel Stays
Our hotel is rated 4 stars and offers 249 non-smoking rooms and suites, including 11 luxury suites. Standard rooms are set up with premium bedding, flat-screen TVs with Netflix casting, a microwave, and an in-room coffee maker. The intent is simple: a comfortable, reliable stay for overnight casino guests and visitors in town for other business.
Check-in opens at 4:00 PM and check-out is before 11:00 AM. Guests must be at least 18 years old to check in. On major booking sites, standard room rates typically fall in the CAD 177 to CAD 267 per night range, shifting with season, day of week and availability.

Self-parking is free and located on-site. Wi-Fi is included for hotel guests, no separate fee. We also operate a complimentary shuttle between the resort and West Edmonton Mall; the distance is short enough that a shopping or entertainment day trip is easy to fit between casino sessions. A full breakfast is available at an additional cost, usually around CAD 15 to CAD 30 per person.
